The goal was to create a digital platform where artists could showcase themselves, and where galleries and collectors could connect with them. The idea then expanded from there.
To get a sense for what the competition was offering, I looked for apps on the market that offered similar functionality: like uploading photos, sharing photos, creating profiles and selling products.
The user modeling began with an in-depth analysis of patterns in the user data that I elicited during my user research. Based on this analysis, I developed a set of clearly differentiated user profiles or personas.
After the goals were defined it was time to create the wireframes.
I also created some A/B testing, to see which of the scenarios performers better.
I felt that a classic, yet minimalistic design approach would resonate well with an artist-centric community.
